Sculptra® is an injectable implant that contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic polymer from the alpha hydroxy acid family.
What it does is promote collagen and elastin production, which current studies reflect continuing for over two years. That production is what leads to an overall youthful glow and a volumization of the skin, while diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles both at rest and during dynamic movement.
