Factors like skin thickness, cartilage strength and overall facial balance are carefully analyzed to ensure a customized approach.
Rhinoplasty can involve adjustments to bone, cartilage or skin, performed under anesthesia. Functional improvements, such as straightening a deviated septum, can be addressed at the same time. Most patients return to work or school within a week, and the swelling that follows surgery resolves over the months after.
Your final results will develop over the course of a year as residual swelling diminishes.
A nasal obstruction can be corrected in the same operation that refines how the nose looks, so one procedure answers both concerns.
Skin thickness, cartilage strength and overall facial balance are analyzed before surgery, so the plan is built for your features rather than applied to them.

If you have difficulty breathing and the septum also needs to be corrected, the septoplasty portion of the procedure may potentially be eligible for coverage, but that is something you pursue independently with your own insurance company, including any documentation they require for a claim. Our practice itself operates on a cash-pay basis.
