They are made from different materials, with hyaluronic acid being one of the most common. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body that helps keep skin hydrated and plump. As we age, we naturally lose volume and elasticity, which can lead to wrinkles, sagging, and hollow areas. Fillers can restore volume to specific areas of the face, including the lips, cheeks, smile lines, chin, and jawline, helping create a more balanced and refreshed appearance.
Results can be seen immediately, although some swelling may be present at first. Depending on the type of filler used and the area treated, results can last six months to two years or longer.
